Do you ship internationally?

Hamish McBeth UK currently only ships to the UK and Northern Ireland.  If you would like to order products to be sent to another country please visit http://www.hamishmcbeth.com for pricing and shipping information.

 

How much does delivery cost?

Our charge for postage and packing is £1.95 per order.  This covers our standard delivery service, with which you can expect to receive your order in 3-5 working days.  Royal Mail Recorded Delivery is used on our smaller items, and our courier for larger orders.  Both services will require a signature.  An express delivery option is also available should you require your order faster.  Please refer to our dellivery information for more details.

 

How do I cancel or change my order?

If you need to cancel your order for any reason you can do so by contacting us by either using the messages option in your account or by sending an email to info@hamishmcbeth.co.uk.  If your item has not yet been dispatched to you, we will be able to cancel the order and provide a refund. 

If you have already received your order, or the item has already been dispatched you will need to follow our  'returns procedure'.

 

How quickly will I receive my order?

Where items are in stock in the UK, you should expect your order to arrive in 3-5 working days when shipped using our standard delivery service.  For faster delivery requirements you can use our Express Service.  Please see our 'delivery information' for more details. 

Some product lines may take a little longer as they may be shipped from Australia.  All products on the site include details of expected availability timescales so you can determine where delivery timescales may be a little longer.

In order to minimise the impact our business has on the environment we like to ship all items from one order at the same time.  However should waiting times for products exceed 10 days, we may ship your order is several packages.  The great news is that we will do all of this for the one shipping charge! (Unfortunately this does not include items being sent via our Express Delivery Service.)

 

What will happen if I'm not in when when my order is delivered?

If you are not in when your order is delivered you will be left a card informing you on the failed attempt.  You should contact the relevant company, Royal Mail or our courier, to organise a convenient time to collect your item or to have it redelivered. 

Items that are not collected from Royal Mail or our Courier company within 7 days will be returned to us and we will require an additional shipping charge to post back any items to you.

 

What do I do if I need to return an item?

We hope that you'll love your purchase from Hamish McBeth.  However we do understand that sometimes things are the right size, colour and you may wish to return them to us.

If you want to return the product to us for any reason we offer a 'No Fuss' returns policy.  Please see our 'returns procedure' for full details.

 

I bought an item from another stockist, can I return it to you?

If you have purchased a product from the Hamish McBeth UK website and need to make a return please refer to our 'returns procedure' for further details on how to return an item. 

However, if you have purchased an item from another stockist or outlet, you must return the item to them directly.

 

How do I measure for a dog collar?

There are 2 ways in which you can determine the right size collar for your dog.

Option 1: measure your dog's old collar ( if it's the right size).  To do this lay the collar out and use a tape measure from the outer edge of the buckle to the hole used to find the right length.

Option 2:  measure your dog's neck.  To do this use a tape measure to measure how you wish the collar to fit around your dog’s neck i.e. with enough room as not to be tight but not too loose that the head slips through. A rough gauge is to allow two fingers to fit easily under the tape whilst measuring.

When you have determined the measurement required please check against the sizes available.  Note the cm/inches indicate the actual sizes the collar will fasten up to e.g. 32 cm then you will need collar size 27 to 32 cm which is size 3.

How do I measure for a dog jumper?

To determine the right size jumper for your dog measure length of dog's back from back of neck to base of tail then select which length your dog needs.

Size 2 12"/ 30 cm
Size 3 13.5"/ 35 cm
Size 4 16"/ 40 cm
Size 5 18"/ 45 cm
Size 6 19"/ 50 cm

Do the name tags come in different sizes?

No. All tags come in one size only. They are designed to suit big dogs as well as small.  Some of the designs are a little than others so its worth checking the individual tag measurements to make you're happy it will suit the look you're going for!  The tags only weigh 20 gms so they are not heavy and uncomfortable. There is plenty of room for any engraver to put the necessary information on the back to keep your dog safe and be found easily if lost.

I can't see the size I'd like, in a specific design?

This may be because that size is out of stock and can therefore cannot be selected. You can always email us to double check that there isn't one lurking in the stockroom somewhere... there is always a chance of an error on the site.

Do the Cat Collars come in different sizes?

All of our cat collars come in one size.  They are 10 mm /  3/8" wide and 30cm / 12" long to fit 20-27cm / 8"-10.5" neck.  All cat collar designs are real leather and incorporate a gorgeous silver coloured fish shaped bell.

Are all collars and leashes in leather?

All of the collars and leashes available on the website are made from high quality cow leather, with the exception of the Webbing sets and tartan collars ranges.  The webbing collar and leash sets are made from polyester. The tartan collars and leashes are made from leather and polyester webbing laid over top.

What are the fabric collars and leashes made from?

Our fabric harnesses and collar sets with leashes are made from polyester.

Do you do custom designs and fitting?

Unfortunately we do not offer a custom design and fitting service.  Instead we try to cater for every size and taste. There's a good chance there is something on the site that you and your dog will love.

Are the designs exclusive to Hamish McBeth?

Our collars and accessories are designed by our in-house team.  We do not design for anyone else.  There are now many companies trying to copy our work - so beware of imitations!

What payment methods do you accept?

Currently we accept payment via credit and debit card and Paypal.  All transactions will be directed through Paypal and if you don't have a Paypal account you can pay via a credit / debit card by following the relevant links on the left hand side of the Paypal home page.

 

Can I make an order over the phone?

Yes, if you prefer you can place your order over the phone.  To call someone from our sales team please call 0845 601 1811.  Our office is open from Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

 

Do you offer gift wrapping?

We don't currently offer a gift wrapping service, although hope to be able to offer this in the future.  All collars, leads and tags are dispatched in their own Hamish McBeth branded bag.

 

Do Stockists have the whole Hamish range?

We have a wide range of stockists in the UK.  Not all stock the entire range, so its worth checking with them before ordering to avoid any disappointment.

Yes. You can buy online direct from us or your local stockist may offer to get the item in for you.
